JAMIE AGER

Jamie Ager is a fifth-generation farmer and small business owner from western North Carolina who is the Democratic nominee for Congress in North Carolina’s 11th District. Ager helps lead his family’s nationally recognized Hickory Nut Gap Farm, where he has worked for decades to promote sustainable agriculture, rural economic development, and environmental stewardship. Motivated by the challenges facing rural communities and the region’s recovery from Hurricane Helene, he launched his first campaign for public office with a focus on lowering costs, supporting local businesses and farmers, improving infrastructure, and restoring trust in government. Running as a pragmatic Democrat with deep roots in western North Carolina, Ager has emphasized community-focused leadership, rural engagement, and practical solutions that bring people together across political divides.
