JOSH GOTTHEIMER

Josh Gottheimer is a Democratic congressman representing New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District, which includes parts of Bergen, Passaic, and Sussex Counties. First elected to Congress in 2016, Gottheimer previously served as a speechwriter in the Clinton White House, worked in the technology and business sectors, and held leadership roles at the Federal Communications Commission and Microsoft. In Congress, he has built a reputation as a pragmatic, bipartisan lawmaker, helping to found and lead the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus and advocating for policies focused on lowering taxes, strengthening infrastructure, enhancing national security, expanding economic opportunity, and making government work more effectively. He serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Financial Services Committee and is a leading voice among centrist Democrats in the House.
