VICENTE GONZALEZ

Vicente Gonzalez is a Democratic congressman representing Texas’s 34th Congressional District, which stretches across South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. A lifelong South Texan, attorney, and businessman, Gonzalez was first elected to Congress in 2016 and has built a reputation as a pragmatic, center-left lawmaker focused on economic development, health care access, infrastructure investment, and support for working families. He serves on the House Financial Services Committee and is a co-chair of the Blue Dog Coalition, where he has often worked across the aisle on bipartisan legislation. Representing one of the nation’s most competitive Latino-majority districts, Gonzalez has become a prominent voice on issues affecting border communities and the future of South Texas.
